Do you ever have that moment when you just can't put a book down even though you know you need to go to bed because it's pushing 3 in the morning and so you just keep reading until you finish it a little over an our later? This happens to me way too often, and happened to me again tonight with Maggie Stiefvater's The Scorpio Races. #BookNerdProblems But really. Isn't it an awesome feeling, to feel so connected to a book, it's world, and it's characters that you just have to keep turning that page to see what happens next? That's the sign of a good book, and that's what you should aim for if you're trying to get published. Make your world so believable, your characters so real, that your reader(s) get so attached and invested in your world/characters that they have to keep reading and feel a sense of loss or emptiness when they finally finish the book that they have stayed up much too late to read countless nights in a row. If you've achieved that, you've achieved greatness in your writing.
